Tom Perry Special Collections) Ted (Theodore) Collier was born 29 October 1902, in Vernal, Utah. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to the South Texas Mission from 1922 to 1924. On May 23, 1928, Ted married DeFonda Virtue Dowdle.
